We have began receiving this year’s seed production in December. Thus far production quality of the corn looks excellent. Both warm and cold germination scores are outstanding on nearly all hybrids and lot numbers.
It really isn’t all that long until the planters roll.
Now is a good time to re-evaluate and plan where you plan to store your seed when it arrives. Make sure that you have a cool dry place that will help maintain the high quality of your seed. When you do handle the bags or boxes make sure to remember the seed is a living organism and needs to be handled with care.
Great yields start with excellent genetics and seed quality. Yield potential only decreases with what we and mother nature do to those corn seeds and plants this season.
